Yo people! There will be no training next week since M109 are having term break and M208 are having EOS 2 in 1 week.
On a side note, our/my very dear MAPCU track and field team is facing a few hurdles now, with funding becoming an issue and many of the runners getting injured during training. Sandip, Arvinf and Minyi pulled their muscles and many of us are constantly bogged down by studies. So people! Do give them a pat on the shoulders, or a small encouragement note whenever you see members of the MAPCU training team. And just to name a few, they are
M109: Siobhan, Jiawei and Minyi
M208: Amirul, Arvinf, Kevin and myself :)
M108: Sandip, Jeremy Joseph, Joel, Joey
M207: Renyi and Rauf
M107: Zhiven
Pharmacy: Pang Tsen
and many many more! (If I didn't name you, take no offence please! These are just the few who really need the support now)
I must say I'm very proud of the team this year, their commitment to training is really superb; 4 trainings a week and they never complained. I love you people very much!

The Devil's Scheme.
See this people?
Note for those aiming to run 21km on 7th June, this is your training schedule by the kilometers. (+4) means you run an extra 4km after milers training every Wednesday. Credits goes to Sandip Singh Saggi, please say a huge thank you to Sandip next time you see him for drawing up this awesomely insane training schedule! :)
In any case, for all who signed up for 21km, please train up. 21km is honestly not something that should be taken lightly, especially if you're not yet a seasoned runner. You should be doing runs every other day just to be prepared :) 21km is gonna be tough not only on your physical body but also your mental capacity. So, TRAIN UP PEOPLE.
Least you can do is to come for Milers training huh? It's on, next Wednesday 5.30pm at the atrium. Be there, rain or shine!

Courage
The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I even had the courage to start -John Bingham
For some of you, this Sunday race will be your first ever 11k race in your whole life. It's ok to feel jittery, excited, slightly discouraged but always remember this quote from John Bingham whenever your self-doubt starts kicking in and threatening to derail your confidence.
It'll be a great feeling to complete a race. However, the courage that spurred you to join this race in the first place was something you much cherish. How many times in our life we just get cold feet in front of the obstacles? How many times in our life that we reach a crossroad but too scared to even continue?
You've made a right move by joining the race. Believe me, in the end of the day, you'll find yourself irreversibly changed by the race, no matter how fast or slow you complete the race. The passion will be burning in you, I say, for a very long time.
Let's give our best and to infinity and beyond.
