When every step is agony

As the 7 June 21km draws near, I'm sure many of you will be feeling slightly jittery, nervous, and probably very unsure. Well, words of advice I have none, but here's what I read today, from an interview of a participant in the Adidas Sundown Ultramarathon:

Numerous participants admitted that they had harboured thoughts of quitting, but decided not to give up.

"Every step is agony," said Sim Li Bin, 30, who had no qualms taking off his left sock to reveal an inch-sized blister on the sole of his left foot.

"Blisters, chaffing, and cramps... but it's all worthwhile when you reach the finish line"
